My Frustrating and Complicated Experience with Fixing the Repair Error (Part 2)

Okay, now for part 2. If you missed part 1, well click here.

As I said, my McAfee subscription has expired. Now my McAfee subscription expired less than a week before Christmas. I was pressured into renewing it that I even almost order it (that transaction obviously didn't get through, even though my billing information is correct). Then it said that McAfee will continue to protect my laptop after my subscription expired....until about January 12 or January 11. Really McAfee, do I HAVE to pay a high price of it? It's a risky situation.

In other ways, I did download the Windows 8 install setup, but here's a problem: you have to put in a product key, which I CAN'T FIND! There was no sticker on the back of my laptop, so I have to find more help online. The answer is this: You can't really find your product key, it's injected into the laptop. WOW WOW WOWWY! So I try to find a product key through product key finder programs with no success.

Then, I think I fortunately found a solution: downloading a Windows 8 Installation Media. I did install the installation file into my computer, so at that time, I was able to breathe and relax. When it's over, I burn it into a blank DVD. Actually the other one of the two, which was supposed to be disc 2 of the Dell Recovery media but..

And just when you think it's over and it's ready to be reinstall, it's not. IT'S REALLY NOT. My laptop doesn't boot to the installation even when there's a CD IN HERE? What, there's no DVD/CD driver to boot on Dell? Really?  Oh my god. I'm still frustrating.

Unfortunately, the only way to fix the repair is to get a REAL Windows 8 Installation Media, either you have it (WHICH I DON'T) or order it.

So apparently I decided to carefully take care of my laptop. Since there's believed to be a virus (which may or may not be the case) and my antivirus subscription expired, I have to find a legitimate program to scan the computer. Fortunately, I found Microsoft Safety Scanner and it sweeps the laptop successfully but it only expires after ten days.

So that was part 2. Thanks for reading.
