A Lesson About NASCAR...sort of

Editor’s Note: Um…this is actually a lesson about NASCAR for people who wanted to be a race car driver, which is off-topic on my site. Originally I intended to write why you shouldn't be a race car driver to impress a girl (in the case of Transformers: Age of Extinction) but instead I ended up writing…what you’re about to read about. But I want to post this anyway. Maybe I can write in-topic tomorrow.

The Post:
So you’re a boy (or a twentysomething guy) and you’re dreaming to be a race car driver. Let me ask a few questions. Maybe a lot of questions. *pause, unsure* I don’t know the amount but here I go.

Do you know that NASCAR (primarily the name for the major racing sport) is dangerous?
Do you know how many cars are there in the race?
Do you know it’s tough to ride past all of the cars?

Well let me answer them for you in a long explanation. NASCAR is fun but is dangerous. *pause* Okay I actually don’t know how to explain it. But NASCAR is a do-or-die race. Sometimes it’s a death race. You gotta to be very tough, very strong enough to survive racing around almost thirty cars. Yes, thirty cars. Do you think you can drive through all of those cars? Unless you’re strong and man enough, hell no.

If you want to be a NASCAR race car driver – or a regular race car driver – you got to be extremely careful.
