VERY SHORT POST: Can't Blog right now

Right now I'm currently in the mode for writing a story since last night. As a result, I won't be blogging tonight. However I will blog about the story progress tomorrow.

VERY SHORT POST: started writing that evening

So this evening, I started writing very few pages on a somewhat action-mystery novel. It doesn't have a title yet but I believe that I write through the middle of January.

Men and Feminism (Part 2; Short Post)

You know I have been researching men and feminism since Monday. Maybe the reason is that I'm trying to think a new teen novel series to write that may be different than any other teenage series, whether on books or on TV or on the movies.

I'll write a story on paper tomorrow

Do you saw pictures of me in my previous post? I do apologize for the picture quality. I take them on a sensitive webcam that is inside my laptop.

Anyway I have blank printer papers that I was going to write a story on with a pencil yesterday. but I decided to write it tomorrow. I will talk about it tomorrow.

Reasearching Men and Feminism

I was researching men and feminism on the internet - I google terms like 'male empowerment', 'boy empowerment' and 'men and feminism' - and found several results indicate that men should embrace feminism...by not only supporting women's rights and female empowerment but also gender equity. While I believe that women is better (or should be better) then men, I found out that it's best for both men and women to be treated equally. And I think so too.

I think that if women should talk about their rights, then they should talk about men's rights and male empowerment as well. And I think that we, as men, should be talking  But unfortunately - and apparently I have to say that word because of today's society changes - like this article here, we're on a male dominated society. That means that feminist only focus on women empowerment. They also believe that men have all of the power and they control women, which is unfortunately true.

Story ideas popping up in my head while I was walking downtown Washington D.C.

As I went into Washington, D.C. every Sunday (as usual since April; back then walking in D.C. isn't an usual thing to me) every time I went walking downtown with my sister and dad, I always keep thinking of a teenage show. A different teenage show, mainly around male. One of them in particular has a great title, I don't know what it would be. Now this evening - it was actually night - as I was walking down the sidewalk that heads towards the Lincoln Memorial, I come up with two possible ideas.

I can't tell you what my ideas are or what the title is going to be because of private reasons. I may reveal them if I have to.

Once again, I don't feel like blogging today. Maybe tomorrow.

Friday, November 21, 2014

Today, I may going to do English homework early for the first time and also do the online theory test that was given from my computer management class.

Hopefully I may do them early so I don't usually wait until the last minute or don't forget like the last time I did with the first test.

I might do homework tomorrow for the first time...and also do an online test

Listen, I have a bunch of stuff that are overwhelming to me. Not only I have to do English homework, but also I have an online theory test to do from my computer management class.

Actually I have a second online theory test to do; I missed the first test. The day after it's due, when I discovered that I forgot to do the test, I panicked for less than a half-hour and then try to calm myself down and thinking what will happen next?

Procrastination takes over me today.

So yesterday, I made a promise that I won't be procrastinating and I'll be writing stories through the day. Today, I broke it. There's reasons why:

Supposed to be writing a slice-of-life document; ended up writing a female action eBook

Last night, I was planing to write a somewhat slice-of-life document to see if I form a story. I'm trying to create my own genre and I planing featured teenage boys because it's something that...I want to see.

But then I came at about 2:16pm from a metro taxi (almost or over an half-hour late) and I immediately washing dishes after (because I wasn't feeling like washing them last night; I was unfortunately a slacker, more on that in later posts), then become a choice between writing a 'somewhat'* slice-of-life document or a butt-kicking female action eBook. And then three o'clock came, and I immediately choose the latter.

Monday, November 17, 2014

This afternoon, I was thinking what I'm going to write for tomorrow and it probably is an action story. It's wasn't the same idea as it was on my previous post, but I'm gonna write it tomorrow.

Listening to some music, inspired to create a story and a title that starts with a 'the'

You know, for some reason. I can’t seem to write anything. It is because of procrastination. Maybe I was still…looking at Wikipedia, listening to music.

Okay last night, I listen to two instrumental orchestra songs from “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (which I didn't watch and many people say it’s not the best movie): “I Need to Know” and “Sum Total”. At the same time, I saw a picture of a ferries wheel on TV when the Xfinity X1 platform system showing a screensaver (which happens when either you idle on the xfinity menu/section for too long or you pausing an episode/movie for too long).

A Lesson About NASCAR...sort of

Editor’s Note: Um…this is actually a lesson about NASCAR for people who wanted to be a race car driver, which is off-topic on my site. Originally I intended to write why you shouldn't be a race car driver to impress a girl (in the case of Transformers: Age of Extinction) but instead I ended up writing…what you’re about to read about. But I want to post this anyway. Maybe I can write in-topic tomorrow.

"The Carmine Case: The Unfinished Edition" is available online on Scribd

Although I delay the 'final' version of eBook, I decided to publish the unfinished version of "The Carmine Case" on Scribd. I want to publish it online at this due date, even though I didn't have the time to finish the eBook.

The actual - and final - version of eBook will be released on an unspecific date on 2015.

Shane Dyson: The Boyfriend That Shouldn't Be In "Transformers: Age of Extinction"

Let’s talk about Jack Reynor’s character, Shane Dyson. Now Ehren Kruger made this character an average man. A man who loves to drive race cares. That character is unrelated to me and I'm going to talk about it.

Tessa (played by Nicola Peltz)

Ehren Kruger obviously made this character a boyfriend of Tessa (a daughter of Mark Walberg’s character) so that the movie can still have male appeal. You know why can’t Kruger and director Michael Bay (or even producers Ian Bryce and Lorenzo di Bonaventura) make Tessa a butt-kicking chick rather than a sex object. That way, the movie wouldn't focus on the stinkin relationship between Jack Reynor and Mark Wahlberg’s characters.

Speaking of a stinkin’ relationship. *pause* Yeah, the paring of Shane Dyson and Cade Yeager is REALLY awful. The reason why Shane’s boyfriend and also Cade’s daughter has been kidnapped, the reason why this stupid movie focus on the stinkin’ relationship between Shane and Cade is to make this movie with male appeal.

I’m not a fan of the Transformers series or the action genre at all. But honesty, could Mr. Kruger (once again the screenwriter) or Mr. Bay (I think he’s the worst director of all) actually put Cade in danger instead. That way Tessa could be a butt-kicking chick and could team-up with his boyfriend to rescue her father as possible.

Second of all, I know Shane Dyson is a race car driver. But I got to be honest, he is no good at driving backwards when flying cars dropped from the sky.

Also, why Ehren Kruger and Michael Bay (or even the producers of the movie; I can’t confirm which one come up with the Shane Dyson character but I believe it’s Kruger and Bay) make Shane Dyson older than Tessa (who’s played by Nicola Peltz). Is it because of Jack Reynor is hot? Is it because Kruger, Bay, and the producers thought that having an older boyfriend and teenage girl in the movie would be a good idea? Is it because they’re a fan of NASCAR? Or is it because they want to insert a debate of whether it’s okay for a teenager girl to have an older boy? Because that tension scene in an old gas station where Shane and Tessa blurted to Cade that they have secretly falling in love is…well…while it’s good to have Cade (ahem, Mark Wahlberg, since he played this useless character) bringing up a very good lesson for a teenage girl not dating someone older, this scene should NEVER inserted in the film at all. (Because there’s no such thing as Romeo and Juliet laws)

Ehren Kruger (the Screenwriter)

Obviously Ehren Kruger and Michael Bay is trying to bring romance again with this movie. You know I have a question, although (once again) I’m not a fan of the Transformers franchise (includes all of the toys and the TV cartoons that are based on it) and the action genre, why can’t Kruger and Bay just focus on Mark Wahlberg alone with only a full adult-cast in it? That way it wouldn't be another teenage movie – or as matter of fact, a teenage boys’ movie.

So basically in order to have broad appeal (apparently appealing it to all audience no matter how appropriate it is), you gotta have an average teenage boy or a very average young man to be a protagonist or the main character. Why can’t Hasbro or Paramount think of something else with the Transformers movies? I mean the G.I. Joe movies….I’m might talk about it next year.

So there you have it. Cade Yeager and Shane Dyson are the main characters that waste the film. I would gave this movie an F. F for Failure!

Luckily Michael Bay is finally moving on after initially rejected directing this movie. Let’s repeat that: Michael Bay initially rejected directing this movie. And let’s hope that Ehren Kruger will either do a very much better job screenwriting or get a pink slip. Also I didn't even mention his name in this post, but I believe Steven Spielberg (who’s actually the executive producer) doesn't
pay attention on the male characters.

Cade Yeager: A Man Who's Not Smart in "Age of Extinction"

Alright let’s talk about “Transformers: Age of Extinction” The most stupidest movie of all. It has lazy writing, lazy film-making, and probably many ways of errors. But since this site is about the treatment and portrayals of boys (and men) in the media, I’m only g
oing to be talking about Cade Yeager and Shane Dyson

© 2014 by Paramount Pictures Corporation
Let’s talk about Mark Wahlberg’s character, Cade Yeager. He is a struggling inventor from Texas….who doesn’t take a piss from people who wanted to buy his house…(For some reason, the screenwriter, Ehren Kruger, obviously doesn't know that the retailer didn't put the leaser’s house for sale until the leaser is unable to pay the rent)…who often gets in trouble.

Interview footage © 2014 by Paramount Pictures Corporation
Obviously, Ehren Kruger (once again the screenwriter) wants Cade Yeager to do be a jerk a**.

Actually while he wrote the screenplay, it wasn't Kruger’s idea of a father-and-daughter story. It was stupid director Michael Bay’s idea because for some reason he wanted Mark Wahlberg to join in a new Transformers movie.

© 2014 by Paramount Pictures Corporation
While Cade Yeager (once again Mark Wahlberg’s character) might be a weapon guy shooting the aliens, Ehren Kruger the writer obviously doesn't want him to be a good man. For some reason, Kruger wants Cade to be annoying. Like in the battle scene in Chicago where Cade angrily opens a Bud Light bear at a glasses-wearing man

As Jeremy from CinemaSins said as he goes through the sins of the 2-part video, Cade Yeager “is a total asshole” and “MORE USELESS THAN SAM WitWicky

© 2014 by Paramount Pictures Corporation

Look at the picture above, I believe Cade can’t do crap. His house is latter destroyed by Lockdown and now he has to travel with his daughter Tessa and her boyfriend Shane. And Ehren Kruger the screenwriter wants Cade to engage in arguments with Shane, mainly over her daughter. (More on that on my next post)

In the first Optimus Prime vs. Lockdown fight scene, Cade fails to rescue her daughter (He told her to run to the field instead of toward him) so that the movie can center him and Shane as heroes so that the movie can attract teenage boys and young men as part of a broad appeal. Because well. *pause* it’s the media. The media inaccurately knows what boys want to see. (And when I say inaccurately, I mean the media executives and the produces use research that I believe it’s dated) The media uses the “Dismiss in Distress” trope (which I first heard this year since I never heard of those tropes before until I started to discover more of tvtropes.org.).

Oh, when he tries to apologize to Optimus Prime, he makes the laziest speech ever of him turning Optimus Prime for the money, which he said it’s a mistake.

From Jermey (CinemaSins):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHZHSt1CSgo#t=300

So there you have it: Cade Yeager is a stupid man created by Michael Bay and Ehren Kruger.

I’m going to be talking about Shane Dyson, Jack’s Reynor’s character in another post.

I'm actually going to be late posting my opinions over "Transformers: Age of Extinction". I may be post them very late or tomorrow morning.

This Site is Going To Be About Boys in the Media (for now)

*sighed*

Okay, I'm going to be talking about boys - and maybe men in general - in movies and probably television shows. Because I'm REALLY having a HARD TIME relating to the male characters. In fact I DON'T EVEN watch them...AT ALL! The male characters are portrayed as either a butt monkey, a womanizer who attracts or attempts to attracts girls, or a very brave person who willing to man stuff (one example: save the world).

*shaking my head in disbelief*

Now I'm NOT a fan of the superhero genre. I'm not a fan of the action genre. And I'm not a video gamer either (since early 2008). Yes, I sometimes watch comedy. No, I don't watch comedy movies. The "comedies" that I watch are primarily personal videos and sometimes rants about movies. I used to watch Disney Channel and, later, Nickelodeon when I was a middle schooler. But now as I started to feel a lack of interest*, I started to feel more combative against them.

Also, I do like girls...and women. But for some reason** I'm not really in the mode for chasing them or attempting to be a ladies' man. Do I want a girlfriend? I don't know. Maybe I do, maybe I don't.

So there you go, I'm going to be running this site everyday, talking about why boys portrayed in the media. Therefore, the ebook that I'm currently working on which is almost 200 pages, "The Carmine Case" will be delayed to an unspecific date on 2015, because I also have classes to go to and I have coursework to do.

Tomorrow I'm going to be talking about the WORST MOVIE OF THE YEAR OF 2014: Transformers: Age of Extinction.

For updates, follow me on twitter at: http://twitter.com/franokuski. My Tumblr isn't set up yet and I don't have the ability to create accounts at other social media sites.

*I actually kinda interesting in watching new shows like "Austin & Ally", "Ant Farm", and "Mighty Med". But I would rather prefer watching them alone, whether I had a TV or purchasing iTunes episodes.

**I'm not your typical guy. I'm not interesting in sex,

Writing as I'm saying is complicated

Okay so several days ago, I record four audio files - for "The Carmine Case" - so that I can not only type what I''m saying but also type faster.

Unfortunately, since I'm socially awkward, I'm also awkward in telling stories out load. So I figured I could edit the audio through Movie Maker, which is the only free movie software instead on my laptop; I couldn't afford to buy any professional movie editing (or sound editing in this case) software.

Turns out that Windows Movie Maker only edits videos, not audio! I try to insert a picture and try to stretch the duration so that i can listen to the audio. After a minute typing the words out of the audio, I feel like this doesn't work.

So as a result, I would stick to writing what I'm thinking of.

Anyway, "The Carmine Case" will be release as an e-novel this November. (No exact date; but I may be finished by November 14th)

Hello

Hello and welcome to my site.

I'm a writer since 2006 and I'm probably going to publish my first e-novel, the mystery novel "The Carmine Case". Now originally I was going to publish it on Scribd, but I decided to give Amazon a try.

That's all I have to say. Thank you for visiting my site

"The Carmine Case" available this November.
